The Order Process

The Order Process

Everything from Stefanie Somers® is crafted specifically to your order, so please allow our artisans time to create for you with as much love as possible.

Most items from our Ready-to-Wear Collections usually ship within 5 to 10 days. Select items from Studio, Edge, Classics & Bracelets may take up to two weeks. Please see the details on each designs’ page for current windows.

Please be aware that custom color combinations may add up to an 5 to 7 days to your shipping time.

Special order colors (crystals not in stock at SSC) may add up to 3 to 4 weeks depending upon availability. We will always let you know when you place your order what we anticipate the ship date to be.

You will receive an order confirmation with an estimated ship date. You may also call or email us before placing your order for an estimated date. We’ll be happy to work with you on timelines if you’re concerned about making a deadline – we’re very good at hitting our marks.

If you do have an event date, please let us know right away so that we may triage your order to make sure you receive it in plenty of time. If your event date is especially close, please consider placing your order by phone at 800-400-4312 to make sure we have everything correct, and have the opportunity to use expedited shipping if needed.

COUTURE orders will be quoted shipping windows during the consultation process, and may take up to 6-8 weeks during high season. We ask that you please plan accordingly to avoid rush fees and stress while preparing for your event.

Our High Season runs from April-May-June and from September-October-November. Shipping windows for Couture and Custom ColorWays will be longer during this time. Please pan on six to eight weeks for Couture, and as much as four weeks for Custom ColorWays. Ready-to-Wear (RTW) will generally stay around five to seven days regardless of the time of year.

Low Season, or December-January-February-March, timelines shorten to three to four weeks for Couture, and two to three weeks or less for Custom ColorWays.

You may also opt to use financing through Affirm.

We are unable to accept checks at this time.

Stefanie Somers Inc does not offer COD.

Tax Information

8.25% sales tax applied to all orders shipping to addresses in Texas.

Ordering Timeline

Our studio is based in The Woodlands, TX and ships Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Most Ready-to-Wear items – excluding Couture and Custom Colorway orders – ship within 5-7 days.

Expedited Shipping – FedEx 2-Day (2 days) – $15

Special shipping rates for the continental U.S.:

FedEx Next Day Air* – $45
FedEx Saturday Delivery (not available everywhere)* – $65

All other international shipping:

P.O. Boxes
Orders shipped to P.O. Boxes are sent via USPS First Class and Priority mail only.

U.S. Territories & Military Addresses

We ship to all U.S. territories, APO/AFO addresses, and many international countries. Please visit the International section for more information.

Military APO/AFO Addresses
Orders shipped to APO/AFO addresses are shipped via USPS. Shipments to APO/AFO addresses may be subject to longer transit times due to military processing. Once the package has been delivered to the APO/AFO point, Stefanie Somers® is not responsible for the possible delays or lost shipments.

U.S. Territories
Orders shipped to U.S. territories are shipped via USPS.
Please allow additional time for delivery.

Duties and taxes are determined by the customs agency within the destination territory. Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order and the tax-free threshold, if it exists, for goods imported into the destination territory. Payment of any duties and taxes is the responsibility of the recipient, and these fees are collected at the time of delivery. More information can be obtained by contacting your local customs office.

Non-U.S. Addresses

Canada
Items shipped to Canada must pass through customs; please allow extra time for deliveries to Canadian addresses. The approximate time frame is 5 – 21 business days. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order and the tax-free threshold, if it exists, for goods imported into Canada. International
We can ship to most countries*. Items shipped to international addresses must pass through customs; please allow extra time for deliveries to international addresses. The approximate time frame is 7 – 21 business days. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

NOTICE
We are currently unable to ship to: Germany, Brazil, Russia, Falkland Islands, Ukraine, China and Moldova.

Multiple Shipping Addresses

We are only able to ship to one address per order. If you need items shipped to multiple addresses, please place separate orders for each different shipping address.

Tracking Orders

When your order is ready to be shipped you will receive a shipment confirmation email. To tracj your order, please visit your account page on StefanieSomers.com, login, and refer to your recent orders. You may also track your package using your tracking number at FedEx.com

Shipping Holidays

Stefanie Somers and its carriers do not ship or deliver on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day – January 1st
  • Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday* – January 21st
  • Presidents’ Day* – Third Monday of February
  • Memorial Day – Last Monday of May
  • Independence Day – July 4th
  • Labor Day – First Monday in September
  • Columbus Day* – October 12th
  • Veteran’s Day* – November 11th
  • Thanksgiving Day – Last Thursday in November
  • Christmas Day – December 25th

*Only standard and expedited packages will not be shipped or delivered. 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air and Saturday Delivery will be available unless otherwise noted.

Shipping Charges

ALL SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Exchanges

If you are returning an item for exchange please include your full name, phone number, shipping address and email.

Please note, shipping charges apply to exchanged items.

You may exchange any regular priced item:

  • For another color – as long as it is the same price, no additional payment is necessary, other than exchange shipping.
  • For a different item – we will credit your original purchase towards your new purchase. Any difference will be refunded or billed.

All criteria for returned items applies to exchanges as well:

  • Merchandise must be accompanied by the original receipt
  • Only items purchased directly from Stefanie Somers will be accepted. For purchases made at our partner stores, please see the store where the purchase was made.
  • Items accepted for exchange must be in new, unused condition. Items showing signs of wear will be returned and no refund will be issued.
  • You must notify us of your wish to exchange your purchase with 2 days (48 hours) of receipt
  • We must receive your exchange item within 10 business days of your original receipt.
  • We are not able to refund any shipping charges
  • You are responsible for shipping costs incurred with the exchange
  • Please use a trackable, insured method when returning your item. We cannot be responsible for packages we do not receive.

 

Blue Room Clearance items are final sale, no returns or exchanges.

Custom ColorWay items are not returnable or eligible for exchange.

All Couture is final sale and may not be returned or exchanged.

Returns

We hope it doesn’t happen, but sometimes it’s unavoidable that things just don’t work out. 

We’re happy to take back something that doesn’t work out as you’d planned, but we ask that you get it back to us quickly, so read on…

Due to the nature of special occasion, we are only able to accept returns within a limited timeframe. We will accept returns and exchanges of unused, undamaged merchandise for a full refund if we are notified of your desire to return within 2 days after receipt. Packages must be in the carrier stream within 3 days and must be delivered back to us with 10 business days of your original receipt.

Returns are subject to the following:

All sale and clearance items are final sale, and may not be returned or exchanged. Custom items and Couture work are also final sale, and may not be returned or exchanged.

Typical turnaround time for returns & exchanges is approximately three weeks from the date of receipt. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges. Shipping charges are nonrefundable.

*Always be sure to save a copy of the original receipt for your records.
